Park at the pull out on Highway 3 south of Salmo.
Cache should be approached from the bottom side, therefore the terrain rating. DO NOT REMOVE THE CAMO IN ORDER TO RETRIEVE THE CACHE CONTAINER! There is a stick in place to help you with this.
Before travelling to Creston from Salmo it is a good idea to check out the overhead sign above. Although spring had sprung, much like the delay in getting our caches published, sometimes winter lingers on, on the pass ahead of you. Another parody in play here is our use of a B09 designation -- are we too late?! The usual stuff -- log book, stash note, and a pencil are in place.
There is nothing special to see here but the weather report for the pass. It may be helpful to you. This is just a fun cache.
So, the next time you hear the words "spring forward", think about our cache.
