The levee road along the west side of the Yolo Bypass is a
popular spot for dog walkers and the occasional cyclist. Most of
the time you get a nice view of the wildlife area, but on a really
rainy year you might be looking at an apparent inland sea, created
when they release water from the Sacramento River upstream a ways.
When that happens caches out in the bypass like Glub! and Yolo Bypass Challenge are completely
inaccessible and thoroughly underwater. This cache will be
submerged too, but at least you'll know how deep the water is!
Depending on the season this area may be muddy, thistle-y, or
wasp-infested, so take care. Be sure to bring a pen to sign the
log. And hey! Now that you've come this far, why not have a go at
Glub!, Yolo Bypass Challenge, or both? IF they're on dry land, that
is.
