Geocache Description:

This hide is placed in Wildewood Park, a great Ralston Park with a nice walking path. The cache is a 625 foot stroll through the park from the parking lot (N 41° 11.832 W 096° 02.036). If you take the most direct route from here you will end up on the wrong side of the creek. Instead, follow the sidewalk east from the parking lot crossing the creek on the sidewalk adjacent to 78th St and then a short walk on mowed grass. The last 160 feet into the trees will be more challenging terrain.

The cache is a screw top container with room for trades, travel bugs and coins. During the warmer months, the cache hiding place can be quite overgrown, including the possibility of poisonous plants, so long pants are recommended. The mosquitos will be happy to see you as well. The terrain once you step into the woods can be very uneven, so step with caution. As with any cache, please use stealth when necessary, bring your own pen, and rehide the container where you found it.

In addition to the usual log and trinkets, the cache also originally contained a First To Find prize. It is a pair of customized trackable dog tags featuring a photo I took very near the parking area. The activation code is included, so you can activate the tag and send it out as your own trackable, keeping the other tag for yourself.
