Geocache Description:

CCC Night Out will continue the outdoors theme trying to hold on to the last bit of summer. This month we're going back east of the river to Riverfront Park in Glastonbury.

As with the previous outdoor get togethers, this one will also be BYOPD (Bring your own Picnic Dinner). There is a covered pavilion, so we can still get meet whether rain or shine. Main Street in Glastonbury offers plenty of places to pick up food on our way to the park if needed. Since it gets dark around 8pm (we're loosin a couple of min a day ), and there arent any lights wanted to start the event earlier than usual at 6pm.

Coordinates are for the park entrance. The pavilion is down on the right with plenty of parking nearby.

Riverfront Park
200 Welles Street, Glastonbury, CT
Tuesday, September 14th at 6 p.m.
Raine or shine, it's covered

If you have children, there's a nice gravel path where they can ride their bike. Plus, there's plenty of room to play Frisbee, soccer or just run around in the huge, grass field.

If you are interested in paddling before the event, there is car-top access to Keeney Cove at N 41° 43.153 W 072° 37.610. With some nearby caches. Please note that
the launch area closes at sunset.

The Central Connecticut Cacher's Nite Out is an evening gathering on the second Tuesday of every month (well, most months anyway). Mark your calendars now! Anyone and everyone is welcome to attend...you don't have to reside in CT, and you certainly don't have to be an experienced cacher...new folks are most welcome! Let us know if this is your first event as we'd like to get acquainted.

This event features new or rotating hosts every month, and changing locations. If you have an interest in hosting, please contact KD&MS. As host, you'll select a location; get the coordinates; and copy and paste the event page and resubmit. There are a number of places in the Greater Hartford area to enjoy good food and drinks. Locations should be kid friendly, have no admission fee and be within the Central Connecticut/Greater Hartford area. Cachers from outside of the area are also encouraged to host, but we do ask that the event itself be held in the central CT area.
