This is another in the Scenic Tours series of caches. The published coordinates will take you to a favorite “pull off” area for State Troopers where they may sit in waiting for the unwary and speeding motorist. In days past, this area was one of a number of small pull-off picnic areas that once dotted the secondary highways of Indiana. These small roadside picnic areas hosted both local and out-of-town traveling visitors. These areas usually contained one or more picnic tables and were accompanied by a small wooded area that provided picnickers shade during hot summer days. Eventually, the State abandoned these areas as small picnic rest stops.
This is a quick park and grab cache. You are looking for a four inch long camouflaged vitamin bottle with screw on cap. There is room for small swag items in the container. If a State Trooper is lying in wait on your day of caching; wave and smile as you drive by. Don't stop as you will obscure his radar's view, come back later after the Trooper leaves.
