Geocache Description:

Have you ever wanted to grab 100 caches in a single day but the task seemed daunting? Well, here's your chance. This stretch of open road seemed the perfect place for our 100 Caches in a Day series. The best approach for this series is from the North. These are Log only Caches - Enjoy!

On March 22, 1997, The Comet Hale-Bopp makes its closest approach to Earth. This comet has a very elongated orbit that takes it from very close to the sun, and then flings it out past the orbit of Pluto. It takes 2,392 earth years for this comet to make one complete orbit around the sun!
