You could possibly begin from Maywick Beach, or head in the
Blett road, parking at N 60° 02.667 W
001° 14.596 as long as you do not block the turning point.
If taking the Blett option, a feature that the Ordnance Survey call
a 'waterfall' can be observed en route at
N 60° 02.604 W 001°15.108, although
'midge feeding frenzy' might have been more accurate on the day the
cache was placed.
At Royl Field's summit, weather can be quite changeable with low
cloud obscuring the views and then clearing within minutes. Once at
the cache location, a marker can be seen looking towards Maywick
which points towards the site of the Royl Field
Mosquito Memorial
The area can be quite marshy, appropriate footwear is
advised.
