The Gemiler Island, also known as St Nicholas Island as it is
believed the legendary figures once made his home here, was the
perfect place to hide my #1000 finding celebration cache with the
help of Izmir dragger, my padawan aprentice.
On the Island are the remains of churches dating back to the 5th
Century, graves, cisterns and ancient houses. There is a tunnel
500m in length which connects two of the churches.
A climb to the top of the Island to watch the sunset is a
must.
I´m sure you gonna love it.
You can reach the island by boat or swimming and there is a 4€
admission fee.
Its not recommended for children because you´ll be near the cliff.
Small note on cache maintenance: There is a local
cache guardian who will assist.
