The trail in Ruigrok Tract Conservation Area near Canborough
varies at places from fine crushed gravel to large coarse stones
with some light overgrowth in spots. The cache is a small (600ml)
lock'n'lock camouflaged container and should be an easy find close
to the trail.
This cache has been placed with the permission of the Niagara
Peninsula Conservation Authority and in accordance with NPCA
Guidelines for geocache placement. This cache will be removed and
archived on September 1, 2011.
Bring BUG SPRAY!
Placing this cache was a bit like a game of musical chairs for
me. I had intended to have this cache published simultaneously with
GC2DDMM Walking Ruigrok and in fact, received permission for them
both from the NPCA on the same day. But this one didn't meet
Geocaching.com cache saturation guidelines because of another cache
in the same area which was unknown to me. So I had to relocate it -
and I had a number of other possible good spots and had to choose
one of them - and then reapply to the NPCA for the new location. My
apologies to those who have already come out and found GC2DDMM
Walking Ruigrok before this one was published.
Please note that this area is hunted via permit during hunting
season. Trails are still open to the public so please dress
appropriately when walking the trails.
There's a toonie for the FTF so you can have a Timmies on
me.
