A nice, short
3-mile loop just to the north of the Curraghs. If walking, there
isn't a good parking place as such - just pull in around about the
waypoint below - otherwise it's easily driveable.
From the
parking area, you will need the Ballacryre road - however if you
parked further into The Cronk, you will need to go down the A10 and
then take the little side road off it (see map below). Continue
down here until you meet the Windmill road on your left - this is
the next part of the route.
The cache
will be along here, in a sort of thicket of trees. GPS may be
patchy - it's in a darkish wooded area on the left just as you go
round a right-hand bend, looking out over the field. It's a small
clip-n-lock Wilko tuppaware box - contents include a toy car, golf
ball and a candle holder, a logbook but NO PEN -
please bring your own (I ran out of pens and pencils making all my
other loops - I'll try to bring one up in the near future, but if
one of you guys get there first, it would be really appreciated if
you could just drop one off. Thanks!).
