This is in the only patch of Spotted Gums (Eucalyptus maculata) in Victoria. This Magnificent tree, is at the end of its range here and is quite a lot smaller then some trees further to the north which require up to 17 people to stretch around it hand to hand. In spring, there are often Orchids around. The shortest route to this cache is from Wairewa. All are bush tracks, so the normal warnings apply, but should be trafficable in a 2wd.
There are many tracks around here and this cache can be the middle link with Stringers Knob and Mt Nowa Nowa for a 3 cache trip and a different route between Nowa Nowa and Orbost.
