Geocache Description:

The cache is at a clearing in the woods at the end of a trail. Its a pleasant walk to the cache site from the parking area - but from the cache its back the way you came.

This is our third cache in this area although, in truth, the cache wasn't meant to be here, but there was something of an error on my part in reading the map. Straight-on proved not to be quite straight-on as it turned out.

So when we arrived at the clearing, it should have been obvious that something was afoot, but oh no, we placed the cache and looked for another way out of the trees. And we found a narrow trail through the woods, and then we arrived at a cleared path through the woods, and then....well let's just say we made rather a lengthy detour.

But from the parking spot, take the trail into the woods and keep going straight.

You could also turn right and take the Old Post Road to Shiplaw (and take in another couple of caches) or you could save that for another day.

The route is staight-on....trust me!!!

Getting a GPS signal proved a little problematic at times, but shouldn't be an issue once at the clearing. The clue is a little more detailed, just in case.

The cache itself is a small round plastic box with clip-down lid. There's a couple of swaps and a small prize (I think) for FTF.

Enjoy, and don't get lost.
