Geocache Description:

The views of the entire Los Angeles basin will be worth your trek UP UP and UP to find this cache, placed in honor of our inspiring friend and coach Eric who introduced us to the challenge of this trail years ago.

Park on E. Mira Monte and head up the paved Mt. Wilson Trail road to the Mt. Wilson trailhead. The trek up to the cache is off trail, about 100 yards further up the trail from the top of the trailhead stairs. There are no signs for where you detour to head up, but you will see the steep incline and probably think, I have to head up there?!? It is a heartpounding hike up the incline to the top, but the views the entire Los Angeles basin are worth your effort. Once on top, you will have to hike another short footpath due North to the cache, which is in an ammo box. A very visible landmark you can see from the top will mark GZ.

**Look for online maps for a certain RIDGE with an old helipad on the Mt. Wilson trail to guide your way**

The cache is a small plastic box inside of an ammo box. Please trade items!
