This is a straight forward ground level hide in a tupperware tub. Please don't disturb the nearby hollow tree.
About the cache :- it's a standard tupperware box containing kid's swaps. It's an easy cache. As usual don't block access and do park responsibly. Within about 20m of the site is a very large hollow tree please don't disturb it. Read the following story. Mrs Jafffacake and the constipated owl Once upon a time not so long ago Mrs Jafffacake was enjoying a trip back from Lincoln castle along some unfamiliar roads. Along this road was a large hollow tree. The tree was very nice and photogenic and better still there sat a huge white owl in all its splendour in the week winter sunlight. Wanting a photograph of that sight, Mr Jafffacake was told to stop the car while Mrs Jafffacake ran back up the road to capture the sight on film. However the owl had gone, so being resourceful she set about discovering if it would return another night. "If there is a nest in that tree or some pellets than I will know if it is likely to return" Mrs Jafffacake thought. Setting the camera up she reached up and thrust it into the hollow to photograph what she couldn't see. The owl had not flown off. The owl was sitting hidden from sight in the comfort of its nest when there suddenly was shoved a camera right in its face! The owl was not a little upset by this and flew out talons first. It grabbed at Mrs Jafffacakes face clawing at her glasses and nose and forehead. It drew blood and pulled her off balance when it tugged at her hair. Realising Mrs Jafffacake was a lot bigger then its normal prey it then became scared as Mrs Jafffacake waved her hands around fending off the talons. It found fear was a natural laxative. As it flew off it left Mrs Jafffacake shaking with shock and well coated in owl poop! Mrs Jafffacake was convinced it was impossible to fit that amount in just one owl even if it had been unable to go for a whole week. She is also convinced it called several friends to help. All the way home the car errupted into quiet giggles. (Mrs Jafffacakes could have been hysteria!) After all that she never got the photo or the answer to the question of is this a regular haunt so beware... Mrs Jafffacake has since been teased mercilessly about owls and wishes to point out the following things:- She doesn't have a phobia, because that is an unreasonable fear... She doesn't have a phobia, she is just very aware of owl movements, (especilly bowel ones - lol) She does have a few small permanent scars. Yes she was a bit of a to-wit don't be one to-woo! and finally yes it certainly has the slight tang of well dead mouse! This is our first cache so be gentle with us, don't rip into us with any talons! - lol
