Geocache Description:

The Loomis Creek Crossing Cache is located a few metres off the Loomis - Odlum Forest Trail on the south side of Loomis Creek. In order to reach the cache site a ford of the Highwood River is required and only recommended from mid-July to late fall, due to high water levels in the Spring. Care and attention are required at all times as this is a backcountry location with exposed rocks and tree roots, along with abundant wildlife in the vicinity.

The Loomis Creek Crossing Cache is a match stick container with only a log, so be sure to bring a pencil. The cache was placed to mark the Loomis Creek ford, interesting old camp site with outhouse, and as simply another fine spot along the trail to either Loomis Lake which is an immediate left after the ford, or continuing straight and slightly to the right for the Odlum Creek Valley.

Come out and enjoy this amazing area!
