How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

This cache is a small camoed container that contains only a log. Please be sure to bring your own pencil.

We placed a cache here because it is the final resting place of many of our friends and acquaintances. It brings back many memories each time we visit this nice peaceful spot.

It is classified as a cemetery cache. Please note the cache is NOT hidden on any grave markers or gravesites. If there is a service going on or people are visiting their loved ones when you arrive, please be respectful and come back at a later time. Your understanding and compassion for these people will be appreciated.

Final cache coordinates are: N45 46.ABC W089 34.DEF

You will need to answer the following questions and replace the letters with the numbers you have found in order to obtain the final cache coordinates. We hope you will enjoy your stroll around the cemetery and notice the many beautiful northwoods themed headstones while searching for the answers to the clues.

A = the second digit of each year shown on this beautiful headstone with mallards.

B = the last digit of Bob's (the deer lover), year of death

C = the last digit of both birth years on the headstone for two heavenly drivers

D = the number of letters in the middle word found on the sign

E = the last digit of each birth year on this headstone

F = the third digit of each of this couple's birthyears (it's also the number of letters in his first name)

If the snow isn't too deep for you to read the headstones, this should be winter friendly.

CONGRATS TO RINGBEARER13 ON HER FTF!!!
When we met her on a cache find earlier this year, we discovered she was from here and was a relative of a person who passed away that we had known for many years, so we purposely used his beautiful headstone as one stage in this cache with the hope that she would find it and be pleasantly surprised. We're glad it worked out that she was first.

April 7, 2011 We have replaced the unique container that was muggled over the winter - with a standard type micro, so hopefully it will remain safe for future cachers to find.

August 4, 2011 We have once again replaced the container, as it was muggled for a second time sometime after the last cacher found it just two weeks ago. We hope it will remain safe and sound this time!

October 13, 2013 PLEASE REMOVE ONLY THE BOTTOM OF THE CONTAINER, LEAVING THE LID ATTACHED TO ITS HIDING PLACE. THANKS.
