Geocache Description:

A little cache to get you up for a hike and the views. It seems this part of Chicken Shack is not visited much even though there are some great viewpoints. Hey, there might even be a Multi-Final in theme cache just a ways up...

J5 Crew had a cache up here for years, but it's gone now. His was a little more in-theme than this one is, but this is still an interesting spot to hike up to. As it turns out the Pacheco Valley community has some tennis courts up on this hill. Not too interesting in and of itself except for the fact that the tennis courts are built on top of a huge water tank.

Mostly though, I was just trying to get some of you up here for a nice walk or encourage you to enjoy a loop hike around the ridge above Pacheco Valley with some views of Mt Tamalpais, Hamilton Field Wetlands, Mt Diablo (on a clear day) and San Pablo Bay.

A sandy trail surface retains footprints of previous human and canine visitors, as well as the deer, bobcat, and coyote that call this ridge home. Madrone, oaks, and California bay provide moderate shade so enjoy and have fun!
