[RO] Culmea Pricopanului este creasta secundara a Muntilor Macin. Desi altitudinea maxima este de doar 370 metri (varful Sulucu Mare), relieful este de tip alpin, parcurgerea acestuia fiind considerata de dificultate medie. De-a lungul traseului pot fi admirate formatiuni granitice deosebite, precum si numeroase specii de plante de uscaciune, broaste testoase, soparle si, cu putin noroc, iepuri, vulpi si caprioare.
Traseul, marcat cu banda albastra, are unul din capete la Fantana de Leac. Putine lucruri se cunosc despre acest obiectiv, caruia localnicii ii atribuie puteri curative. Este unul din putinele locuri cu apa din Culmea Pricopanului, iar in perioadele secetoase este complet secata. In preajma sunt amenajate mese de picnic si camparea este permisa.
Cache-ul este ascuns la o mica distanta de fantana. In partea dreapta a fantanii urca o poteca spre fantana superioara, apoi se continua spre cache. Cutia este de tip click-clack de 1.4 litri.
Optional: puteti mentiona in log starea fantanilor: ambele cu apa, numai cea de sus cu apa, ambele secate.
Atentie in timpul cautarii: zona este considerata habitat pentru vipere (desi eu n-am intalnit nici una pana acum).
[EN] Pricopanului Ridge is the secondary ridge of Macin Mountains. Although the maximum altitude is only 370 meters (Sulucu Mare peak), the terrain is of alpine type, crossing it is considered of medium difficulty. Along the trail one can admire remarkable granite formations, numerous species of plants specific to arid areas, turtles, lizards and, with a bit of luck, rabbits, foxes and deer.
The trail, marked with blue line has one end at Fantana de Leac. Little is known about this objective, to which the locals attribute curative powers. It is one of the few places with water in Pricopanului Ridge, and in drought periods it dries completely. Nearby there are picnic tables, and camping is allowed.
The cache is hidden at a short distance from the fountain. A trail starts at the right side of the fountain, climbing to the upper fountain then continuing towards the cache. You are looking for a 1.4 liter lock'n'lock container.
Optional: you may mention in the log the status of the fountains: both with water, only the upper one with water, both dry.
Be careful during the search: the area is considered habitat for vipers (though I never met any so far).
