This is a rural cache located not far from downtown Stafford Springs along the Woodlawn Trail.
You will find plenty of parking available at the beginning of the trail. The trailhead is clearly marked with an informational sign describing the historical significance of this area. Follow the well marked blue blazed trail from the parking area.
The local Historical Commission has provided a picnic table so consider having a picnic. The cache can be found near the beginning of the loop trail, but I recommend that you continue on and enjoy all that the trail provides.
I have enjoyed this trail during all seasons with Cub Scouts as well as alone and each time has been a memorable experience.
You are looking for a small lock-n-lock box. There is room for coins and small TB’s. First-to-Find can enjoy a free ice cream cone from the Ice Cream Depot located near the fountain at the intersections of RT 32 and RT 190.
Please, practice CITO, I try to bring a plastic bag when out caching. Nothing needs to be damaged when looking for my caches.
