Two part multi. Part one is magnetic, part two is a medium sized
Lock & Lock style container. There's room to park on the side
of the road right near part one. The hike from part 1 to part 2 is
approximately .35 miles. Stay on the trail the whole way,
until you get to the foundation of the old house. The cache is
approximately 60' off the trail.
You never can tell what you'll find while playing this crazy game,
and this cache is proof:
While on my way back from finding another nearby cache I passed by
the house directly across from part one and after stopping and
checking it out, I knew there needed to be a cache here. The owners
have built an enchanted garden complete with it's own Yellow Brick
Road and containing characters from The Wizard of Oz, plus
dinosaurs, gnomes, and lots of beautiful hand-made birdhouses that
you'll have to come see for yourself. And yes, it's open to the
public! After checking out the garden I noticed there was a trail
heading into the woods right by where I parked so of course, I had
to go exploring. The hike was another unexpected treat as it
brought me around a beautiful little pond, across a cool bridge,
and ending at the foundation of an old house where I found a bunch
of old broken china and pottery, some old glass bottles, and even
the remains of an antique shoe!
Like Chuck Berry once sang, "It goes to show you never can
tell."
I hope you enjoy both parts of this cache as much as I did!
