I never cease to be amazed at how many hiking trails there are in the SF Bay Area in general, and in the East Bay region in particular. This cache is located at the little-known trailhead of the Tate trail.
The cache is a black metal cylinder approximately 2 inches long and 1 inch wide. It has a triangular "hook" on the top, to make it easier for one to retract it from its hiding spot.
