Geocache Description:

Follow the dirt roads as far as you dare. Walk in the rest of the way.
if you have time take a snack or picnic lunch to have on the rocks nearby.
It is a wonderful place to soak in some nature and feel the serenity.

This cache is a tin box containing a note pad, pencil and some small swaps. It is contained in a large zip lock bag to help keep it dry. Please make sure you disguise the cache after you are finished as there is quite a bit of muggle activity along the walking track.

The locals call this rockpool the "mermaid" for reasons know one seems to remember anymore. Perhaps it was because of the young ladies sunbaking on the rocks. You can see where a diving board was bolted to the rocks in times past. This was Mt Beauty's first swimming pool and remains a popular spot on hot summer days.

The parking area was the site of Mt Beauty's first house. It had hessian walls and a tin roof and was built by Mr Gordon White around 1940.
