Geocache Description:

Another one in my Back in the Day™ series, commemorating a place or activity I enjoyed during my glory days. Container is technically "small", but it's bigger than a pill bottle. It can hold small items. BYOP. Initially contained the Makuilli TB. Wheelchair accessible to narrow down the search area, but pretty much have to have someone assist in getting close and retrieving. Please use max stealth during business hours.

Back in the day, Foggy's Notion was one of THE bar/restaurants to go after a night of good times, especially for students. Late night cheap eats (for us) were the deciding factor. As I recall, we could get a basket of fries for 25¢ and a burger for 50¢! Even Taco Bell couldn't beat that deal!

The restaurant itself was pretty cool. It was a very large building that was nearly a football field in length and three stories high. Everything one can imagine was inside Foggy's Notion, either hanging from the ceiling or against the wall. There was not a bare square inch on the inside walls that wasn't covered by something: post cards, business cards, photos, movie posters etc. There was a fully assembled fire truck from the early 1900's hanging from the roof! Even the tables were covered with stuff, then clear coated over.

If you just wanted to drink and munch on the peanuts that was okay, too. You just walked up to the Elephant, pulled his nose down and filled your bowl. You needn't bother throwing the peanut shells into the trash can. Just toss them on to the floor!

Sadly, this place was eventually razed and what is now Evan's Tire & Service Center was built in it's place.
