Please be
aware although this cache provides information about Huish Woods
Campsite, there is no public right of way through the site. The
cache is placed on a footpath outside the site so there is also no
need to enter. It has been brought to my attention that a few
cachers have tried to go on to the campsite in order to look for
the cache, if this problem persists I will have to
archive.
Huish Woods is a large campsite owned by Taunton district
scouts. The site is set in 40 Acres of mixed woodland on an eastern
spur of the Blackdown Hills, near Taunton. Our troop have now
camped here twice and we have found it to be the best site we have
ever stayed at, it is a large varied site that is extremely well
run by the warden (Steve) and a really friendly and helpful team of
volunteers (the service crew).
There are a large range of activities available on site whether
its wet or dry by far the best are the climbing tower, the
artifical caving system, woodland crafts and the fantastic zip
wire.
By placing this cache so close to the campsite we hope lots of
other beaver, cub or scout groups find it and include pictures of
themselves with their logs.

activities available on site.
