Geocache Description:

To celebrate our first 100 finds, here is our first hide. Placed within sight of Whittlesey’s famous or infamous chip factory. Most people love a good steak, Rump, Sirloin or fillet, you choose!

The cache is on a quiet part of route 21 of the cycle way that runs in and around Peterborough, but muggles can and will be seen sometimes. Official parking is available at either Stanground Lock N52 33.594 W000 13.242 or at Whittlesey Junior Football Club N52 33.789 W000 08.919. Please do not block access to the football fields. (No unauthorised vehicles are allowed beyond the gate across the cycle way even if it is open, this track is part of the cycle route and Police patrol this area often.) The cycle route is tarmac all the way from Whittlesey to Stanground making this a lovely all weather walk or cycle from either end, also making this cache wheelchair and pushchair friendly (except the last 3 meters) This cycle way also joins up with the cycle way that travels along the north side of the River Nene at the Millennium Bridge, perfect for a circular cycle ride to or from the City.
