Geocache Description:


A red ammo box placed under the eastern side of a boulder measuing 4-5 ft in diameter approxamately 35m to the west of the creek which flows in from the Prince of Wales ice cap. The cache is considerably closer to the creek than it is to the old RCMP buildings. The RCMP buildings were intermitently active between the 1930's and the 1960's. The buildings are sometimes occupied by researchers but are not much of a destination in their own right. Better to go for a hike and find some falcons or muskoxen. I pass through once or twice per summer guiding for Whitney and Smith Kayaking Expeditions.
