To avoid a downclimb on the way back, you can easily drop down to Wind Valley from the summit, just follow the trail from the summit and pick a line down.

I would highly recommend to anyone who goes up Wind Ridge to watch Pink Floyd’s video for “Learning to Fly” before and after their trip up. The video was shot up on the ridge, look for all the familiar peaks. There are a few versions of the video, this version has the best mountain views:

The cache is a small 430ml Lock and Lock hidden just below the summit and BCP484, cache contains only logbook and pencils with a few finders cards. No trading items.
