This is part of the Great Taste Trail or a nice short walk along a well formed walkway on the beachfront looking out into the Tasman Bay. Suitable to walk, bike or ride a horse. At low tide you can walk along the beach to get an ice cream from the famous Hamish's in Mapua. Wheelchair access is possible to the area, but you would want to come from the Ruby Bay end of the track as the other walkway is full of tree roots etc. Once at the site you do need to get onto some rocks to locate the cache
This cache, unfortunately, a number of times has been stolen by nature. as I have moved away from the area I cannot keep maintenance up to date so this is now a sightseeing cache. A nice place to have a sit and reflect, a swim and skim some stones but unfortunately no logbook to fill in.
