vi giunge, sia per la splendida vista che si godedallasommità della
roccia. Il monte si affaccia sulla Valled’Agrò ed è
possibile vedere buona parte deltorrenteetutti i paesi della valle,
fino al mare e alle costecalabresi.Volgendo la sguardo a
nord si gode una visione superba deiPeloritani, fino al
Pizzo Novara che li separa daiNebrodi.La panoramica dal lato sud
consente di osservarel’Etna con la sua cima innevata e
le sue pendicifinoalmare. Ad ovest è possibile ammirare la natura
incontaminatadelfeudo Gerasia, con la sua ricca vegetazione
dellamacchiamediterranea.Oltre al santuario, sulla cima del monte,
oggi, si trovano lacasadel pellegrino, grande struttura attrezzata
con 60 postiletto,cucine bagni, e un grande salone, che a
richiesta, vieneaffittatoper feste, meeting e convegni. Inoltre è

in trenavate con quella centrale che porta ad un piccolo abside
apiantasemi circolare. La volta dell’ abside è impreziosita
daunaffresco che raffigura l’effige della
Madonna.Sull’altare centrale è posta una piccola statua
dellaMadonna, realizzata di recente ( agosto 2006), dono di
undevotoresidente negli U.S.A.. Due lastre marmoree ubicate
alterminedelle due navate minori, raccontano la storia del
santuario.Ilportale centrale e quello laterale, sono stati
realizzati inbronzocon bassorilievi, che raffigurano scene della
storia delSantuario.
