This is a great, farily easy cache at what most people believe to be the most beautiful cove on Little Deer Isle.
Swains Cove, a popular mooring spot among lobstermen from Little Deer Isle, is located near the tip of the island, and goes a fair amount inland over saltwater mudflats. Kayaking in here is a lot of fun, although there is a well packed dirt road that also goes into it. The tides are very noticeable here, with the water at high tide going almost all the way to the road and the dock almost sitting on land at low tide.
