Geocache Description:

A "can of corn" in baseball terminology refers to "an easy catch by the fielder."  This cache is located near a baseball field, is an easy trek to GZ, and should be a *can of corn* to find, as well.

This cache also pays homage to geocaching's 10th Anniversary.  The first cache ever placed had a can of beans as part of its original stash.  Even though this cache has "corn" instead of "beans" ... there's still a can involved.  Find the cache, and you'll see what I mean.

While searching for the cache, please don't disrupt the surrounding natural environment.   When replacing the cache, be sure it's tucked back away in its hidey-place so it won't be a *can of corn* for Muggles to find.  Thanks!!

About the cache site:

Dartmouth Regional Park & Trails is a multi-faceted regional park for both active and passive recreation. When visiting the site you'll find basketball, volleyball and tennis courts, a large playground area with lots of equipment (including baby / toddler swings), baseball and soccer fields, a picnic grove with grills and tables, and an outdoor pavilion.  There's also lots of open space for flying kites, playing frisbee, or any other multitude of sporting activities.  Last, but not least ... there's LOTS of small trails to explore and to find geocaches (there's at least 10 in the park already).  If that's not enough to fill your day ~ there's even a series of four letterboxes!!

The park is open year-round, but signs state that the gate closes at 8 p.m. in the summer // 6 p.m. in the winter.  A sign notes that a parking pass is needed, but of all the times I've been here, I've never seen anybody checking for parking passes.  I don't think a "parking pass" will be an issue.
