THE PICK-UP!
About the area: The Kirkland Wetlands
wildlife sanctuary on Lake Washington’s eastern shore is
Kirkland’s largest park. Boasting 3,000 feet of shoreline,
these wetlands host nearly 120 species of birds. Two boardwalks and
an abandoned highway bridge along the shoreline offer access into
the wetlands. A long, sloping lawn above the marshes with paved
asphalt paths has benches and picnic tables placed to overlook the
site.
The cache isn't at the posted coordinates. The degrees and
minutes are correct, you'll need to solve the puzzles below to find
the correct decimal minutes..
Step 1: Locate the geo-location disc located at
the coordinates of this listing (we'll call this STAGE1).
This is a benchmark
plate and such is located partially on private property, so
please be inconspicuous. You will NOT need to enter the
property to view the disc. You will need the serial numbers
from this marker to complete the puzzle. Write them down and
then move along so you don't disturb any property owners or draw
suspicion to yourselves.
Step 2: Complete this puzzle:

Step 3: Using the serial numbers from the
geo-location disc and the completed puzzle above, solve the
equations below to get the final waypoint for the cache:
N 47° 41.XXX = STAGE1 North coords + (AFGHB -1st serial
number)
W 122° 12.XXX = STAGE1 West coords + (AEDIC - 2nd serial
number)
The coordinates from the completed puzzle will lead you to the
final location of the cache. Please
secure container, but not so tight as others would need a tool to
open
