The place this cache is located is visited by few people. It is an ancient hidden ravine/valley/gulch that you wouldn't notice unless you were looking for it or were lucky. The terrain isn't hard except for maybe a 500 foot section of overgrowth and boulders that separate the entrance from the Kaena Point trail. I took my 3 year old daughter and only carried her during that overgrown part. Once in the gulch, it's much easier, as there isn't as much vegetation or rocks(more flat space). It's so serene, cool and quiet in this gulch. There's always a gentle breeze blowing and you can almost hear the drums from the ancient Hawaiians.
Be cautious for falling rocks, as this is a deep, narrow(100 feet) gulch.
The cache is still going after 17 years. Thanks to everyone who has kept this old timer alive. It makes me happy to have shared it with so many people. I haven't been able to check on the cache in many years due to my location. If anyone could send me more accurate information about the cache in its current state, I will update its information.
