Swagger's Woodland Hideout Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Deceangi: Rather than keep this cache temporarily disabled (which should only be used for shortish periods) I'm archiving it. If/when the cache is ever replaced I'll gladly unarchive it assuming it still meets the guidelines.

Please avoid geolitter by removing any remaining traces of your cache or contact a local cacher to do so for you. If you are having difficulty doing so then please contact me via my profile and I will try to get someone to assist. This is particularly important if your cache appears to contain Travelbugs or Geocoins.

Geocache Description:

Welcome to 'Swagger's Woodland Hideout'. This where my NEW Travel Bug is waiting to begin his crusade, as of November 2012. My previous travel bug, Sargeant TECK Lee Swagger is MIA. This is the final cache in the series of 4.

This cylinder cache includes a pad for the log book and some treats for kids. I had previously included other items, but as the cache was taken, I have reduced its size a little bit. There is still room for a few small items.

You will by now have got all 4 letters and when you log your find, please make sure you follow the instructions in the cache to enter the competition!

There is also a small treat for the children who have found this cache as a prize for completing all 4. Please only take one per visit and let me know in the logs if the stocks are dwindling.

Finally when I originally set up the cache I included a travel bug, called Sergeant ‘TECK’ Lee Swagger (reference TB3ECKY), as it is his woodland hideout before setting out on his 2 missions. Have a look at his missions to see if you could help him or if he’s gone already, see where he is now and where he’s been. 3/11/12. HE IS MIA!!!! Check my new Travel Bug, Sir Swagger of Surrey and aid him in his crusade. He's already been moved on as of 23rd February 2013.

This is very close to the back of the Diamond Riding Centre for Disabled Riders. Should you wish to find out more, website link is below;-

There a 3 ways to go to this cache from ‘Hanging around in the Park’. The first one is the easiest, especially with children.

1. Go East and take the path to your right around the bushes and across the field, heading towards the mobile mast, take the left fork follow the path and search!
2. Use the compass function on your gps and follow the arrow across the fields.
3. Go West and follow the path around, to the far end and the hedge. Go through the gap down to the road. Be careful as this is used, especially by the workmen at the school site, then turn left and follow this road. Go round the bend and turn left by the barrier and follow this path round towards the mobile mast, take first right fork to right of the mast and as you reach the fence and footpath off the the left heading past the riding school, turn left and it's up this path somewhere!
