Geocache Description:

We thought we would blend our interest in bike racing (our son races) with our interest in geocaching. We'll place caches along road bike race courses in the St. Louis area. Most of these courses are in area parks or interesting neighborhoods, the same type of areas that are good for geocaching.

Gateway Cup is the biggest cycling event of the year in St. Louis - Labor Day Weekend. 4 days of racing in 4 different locations around the City. Something for everyone, from kids races to professionals. The Friday night race, under the lights, is the Tour de Lafayette - a fast four corner crit around the Lafayette Square. This was the first "live" bike race I ever saw, and the racers coming around the corners in the dark at high speed sent a chill through me.

You will need to bring your own writing utensil for this micro film cannister, near one of the corners known for crashes.
