Geocache Description:

Sunday October 24th 2010
9:00am - Noon (ish)
Laurel Creek Conservation Area, Maintenance Shop
290 Laurelwood Dr., Waterloo

Whether you can come for the whole morning or only an hour please join us in giving back. What better way to give back than cleaning up the trash and helping to preserve the natural beauty of our outdoor resources? Listed coordinates are for the main gate, check back closer to the event for the actual meetup coordinates. The Grand River Conservation Authority has graciously donated garbage bags and free trash pickup following the event. The conservation entry fee will be waived for those participating in the cleanup. Goal for the day is to rid select areas, outer trails and roadside of all trash. Children are welcome with adult supervision. Dogs are welcome but must be leashed at all times.

Schedule:
Please meet at 9:00AM at the posted coordinates, coffee and donuts will be provided by Becker Bros Towing. At this time instructions will be given and the group will be broken up into smaller groups and sent to various preselected areas of Laurel Creek. Some areas will involve driving between points so please plan to carpool or offer extra seating where available.

What to bring:
- Clothing appropriate for weather, cleanup will run Rain or Shine
- Hiking Boots or Shoes
- Water, we will try to have enough water on hand for all the volunteers but bringing additional water is a good idea
- Gloves, although some gloves will be provided you may prefer your own
