This is another in this series.Don't forget a pen. There are steps near the cache, but can be accessed from the other side of the park where there is a car park, or if needed for pushchairs.

Branksome Recreation Ground is a place where I played as a child. We played for hours on the swings and other play things there including a Witches Hat.
We also made a little village in the bushes around the edge of the Rec which consisted of our home, school, work and shops. Each bush was a different place to travel between. The imagination of children was infinite as we came up with more and more ideas.
Every year there would be a Fairground that would come to the Rec and I could smell the candy floss from my Parents House, I even remember going to the fair just to get some. I remember the excitement of the Waltzers and the Bumper Cars with the music blaring out from both, It was around the time of Dolly Parton’s "Jolene" and every time I hear it I am taken back to the fairground.
They still have the Fairs and a Circus there even now.
