Geocache Description:

Continuing on with this series of caches taking you to famous and historic spots in Joliet. This one takes you to a statue of Robert Piltcher, the person this park is named after.

Pilcher Park was the Joliet Park District's first land acquisition. Robert Pilcher, a self-taught naturalist and businessman, donated the original 327 acres to the City of Joliet with one request, "that it be left in its wild and natural state except for necessary improvements." Because of this man's donation and love of nature we now have this park to enjoy. There are nature trails, two different nature centers and more. Then of course most importantly a park to fill with caches.

To locate this cache you must first go to the statute of Mr. Pilcher which is at the posted coords. On the statue is the year that Robert Piltcher donated the land the park is on. Treat the year as ABCD. You will need to project a way point from this location to find the cache. The distance is CDD. The bearing is C(C*3)C. When you get to GZ you are looking for a camoed Tupperware screw top container. This is a spot viewable by Muggles so be careful and rehide it the best you can for this cache to last.

Enjoy and happy hunting.
