Geocache Description:

Another roadside cache. This cache is located on the edge of a huge trapping operation that covers 4000+ Ha, being carried out by DoC in order to protect two very rare skinks (lizards). The objects you will see along the roadside are different types of traps, set to catch anything with skink on it's menu!
THE CACHE IS NOT CLOSE TO A TRAP. KEEP CHILDREN AND PETS AWAY FROM THE TRAPS. DO NOT TOUCH ANY OF THE TRAPS.

Parking along the roadside and easy terrain but grass may be slippery when wet. The cache site is reached by crossing either a ford or bridge if approaching from the Nenthorn Valley end of Ramrock Road. The ford can be deep after rain and the bridge looks a bit rough but is in regular use (at time of writing) so use your judgement and take your pick! The cache is a camo painted plastic screwtop honey jar with a logbook, pencil and some swaps.
