Geocache Description:

Widdop Oil Road - Summit

In 1962 the Continental Oil Company of Texas were granted permisssion to drill for oil in the area and this road is the one they built to reach the site.

Park near to GCZAK01 and walk in for this and the other caches along the way

To make your trip worth while (as though the area wasn’t wonderful enough in its own right) I have placed the caches rather closer together than I normally would. Beware that after the Oil Well the land is almost always boggy. Up at Dovestones the midges can make you think you’re in Scotland!

The second cache is located where it says and should be a quick find – you certainly won’t need either the clue or photos.
