Geocache Description:

This cache is located near a bench which provides beautiful views over the surrounding countryside. An ideal spot for a picnic or just to enjoy the peace. There is parking for one car right by the location.

It is necessary to climb up a few steps to get to the bench. The cache is a small Tupperware box, with space for log book plus small trackables or swaps. No pen, please bring your own.

Please replace the cache exactly where you find it and make sure it is hidden from passing muggles!

The bench gives a view towards Castle Cary and beyond. On a clear day you can even see the Quantocks in the distance!

To the right you can see the white railed fences of Ditcheat’s Hill Gallop, used to train Paul Nicholls’ champion horses. Paul Nicholls is the trainer at Manor Farm Stables, Ditcheat, where he has cared for over 1700 winning horses, including four Cheltenham Gold Cup winners. If you’re lucky ,you may even see the horses cantering on the Gallop. They train on the short but steep 4.5 furlongs stretch up to three times a day from July, to build up stamina and muscle ready for racing.

** Well done to the Warbrocs for FTF! **
