Located just off the Tonsina River Trail on the Edgerton Hwy.
Follow the trail until just before the cache--just steps from the trail you should find a small zip lock container. The cache is well hidden and the readings can be jumpy, hence the 2.5. May not be accessible in winter. We have hiked this trail in summer and the bugs nearly ate us alive. When we hiked there in September of '10, bugs were not an issue. Good luck with that.
This cache does not contain edible peanuts, nor should it. But it does hold Peanut characters, mostly my favorite, Snoopy. It would be fun if people only traded Peanuts/Charles Schultz/Snoopy items. It begins w/ Mail Man Snoopy, Sun bathing Snoopy (and sidekick, Woodstock), Valentine Snoopy, Golfing Snoopy, Halloween Snoop + the Woodmaster, and Pilot Snoopster.
