This is our first puzzle cache, based upon one of our favorite books: The Princess Bride, by William Goldman. Most people only know the movie, so we thought a cache challenge might get the book a few more readers!
Obviously the above cords are not correct. You will need to solve the following puzzle, based on information that almost exclusively comes from the book rather than the movie. In our family the book has been read by pre-teens through adults, and it is a light, pleasant read. Solve for: 42.AB.CDE 071. FG.HIJ A: At 5:52 Westley thought he had 18 minutes left; how many did he really have? B: How old was Fezzik when he learned how to make a fist? C: How many letters in the first word of the type of sand that Buttercup sinks into? D: How many years has Miracle Max been retired, since he last did a resurrection recipe? E: When Buttercup was born, Annette was the most beautiful woman in the world; how many letters are in the name of the item that was her tragic flaw? F: How many goblets did not contain iocane powder? G: How many king bats were there? H: How many letters are in the sword-fighting style that Inigo used when the man in black blocked his Thibault moves? I: How many Dread Pirate Roberts have there been, in total?
