The Otford Hills Hike Series 1-14
This is a series of 14 caches, all of which are following public footpaths + 1 bonus mystery cache the location of which can be found by completing caches 1-14 and collecting the letters inside the lid of each cache. On each of the cache containers inside the lids is hidden a letter, this letter is needed along with the cache number it was found on, the letter will represent the number needed in the final coordinates for the bonus cache
For example only
If cache 1=A, 2=B, 3=C, 4=D, 5=E
And if you needed to find 51’ AB.CDE
Then the coordinates you would get would be 51’ 12.345
Cache 10-14 will have 2 letters one for each letter for example only cache 12=AB the 1=A and 2=B
Hope this all make sense,
Happy Hunting
I have left you some directions so read the next cache description after you find each one; this will apply each cache in the series of 14.
To start the Otford hills hike series of 1-14 you are best off parking on the triangle (room for 4 cars) at the top of Row Dow where the road splits into Row Dow lane and Birchin cross road
Coordinates for parking are N 51’ 19.031
E 000’ 12.825
The walk is 4 miles and has some hills to go up and down and only a short section of road down very quiet country lanes.
The hints I have left are fairly simple as it about enjoying the walk as well as caching on the way.
Between cache 8 and cache number 9 there is a great pub called the Fox and Hounds, have a rest, enjoy a drink or even a meal (very nice food here).
