Mt. Ohkawairiyama is one of my favorite mountains in Nagano Prefecture and the highest peak is 1908 meters above sea level (in Achi Village and Hiraya Village). Mt. Jyatoge is 1664 meters above sea level in Achi Village, Hiraya Village and Anan Village. There are some climbing trails from Jibzaka (Jib Hill) Parking Lot.
One of the easy routes to climb Mt. Jyatoge is from Umanose parking lot (1457 meters above sea level). You can go to Umanose by car. There are Spa, Ski area and so on near around there. You can enjoy seeing very wonderful cherry blossoms in spring. In fall, it's nice to see the change of color of the leaves. Please enjoy going on a hike.
Be careful in walking if the trail is covered with the snow in winter.
