Geocache Description:

Ippikin Ippikin, keep away with your long chin.
Do you have the courage to stand at these co-ordinates and repeat this small sentence, because to challenge Ippikin in this way could prove fatal.

Legend has it that Ippikin was a 13th century knight with an ugly temper to go with his ugly looks. He also had the magical ability to renew his life every 70 years.
With his band of outlaws he would roam the area terrorising all. The locals fearing Ippikin would stay clear of him and his cave despite it being full of his stolen treasures.
Mother nature had no fears of a mere man and during a terrible stormy night a lightning strike dislodged a massive rock from above the bandits cave trapping Ippikin and his band inside.

So cachers beware as Ippikin is said to stalk these hills still and with his men will push any foolish enough to challenge him, over the Edge to their deaths. You have been warned, imagine a blood curdling demonic laugh now.

Take extreme care here steep fall for the unwary.

Wenlock Edge is a 15 mile long wooded, limestone escarpment 8 miles of which are in the care of the National Trust.
I would like to thank the National Trusts Shropshire hills management team for allowing me to place this cache.
