The now archived Chief's Camp (GC18BEQ) described a old log cabin
built in the 1950s and listed the coordinates for the cabin as a
waypoint.
This cache is located at the site of that cabin. When visiting the
location I found that I had to expand the search a little to locate
the structure. This new cache is located about fifty feet from the
actual cabin behind a log. I averaged the location of the new cache
with two different Garmin's (HCX and 400t) and they were within ten
feet of each other.
The container is a ammo box with mostly non trade items that are
for your use if needed. Also the location of the container is
marked with trail tape so it should be an easy find once you get
there.
The hike will not be a walk down the trail so be prepared.
Go with a friend and enjoy your journey and be safe.
