This park encompasses the land that Thomas Ernest Rofe Hornsby
Shire President donated to Hornsby Council to build Hornsby
Hospital. Of course councils being councils the plans changed and
the hospital was moved much closer to Waitara.
Rofe park contains baseball diamonds, tennis courts, play
equipment and dog off-leash area. Not much of which can be seen
from the bushland portion in which the cache is placed. Near the
cache is one of the few areas of bush in which dogs can be legally
walked so we suggest you pop by with fido and enjoy the area.
