The Dream Team - GK - Gordon Banks Traditional Cache

This is just one in a series of 11 caches which I have hidden (with just a little help from my dad) on a shortish circular route around part of Lever Park.

The series is based on famous football players, some from years gone by right up to the superstars of the present day.

I hope you enjoy the caches and, even if you don't like football I'm sure you will enjoy the walk around this part of the world!

Gordon Banks was Engalnd goalkeeper during the 1966 World Cup Finals held in England. This is the only time England have won the World Cup but hopefully not the last!

He is remembered most famously for the seemingly impossible save he made from the all time great Pele's header in the 1970 World Cup Finals. It didn't matter however as Brazil still went on to win the match 1-0!
