Geocache Description:

Shigeru Aoki is a genius painter of the Meiji era.
This monument was built in commemoration of many of his works having been produced out of love with the Tane Fukuda.
It is the monument and garden which were made by the side of Gogyo River of Higashi-Takahashi, Hagamachi.
He was staying at the parents' home of the Fukuda seed from December, Meiji 39 to next year March.
Soseki Natsume extolled his work.
However, evaluation just from painters' society was not obtained.
His life went to the trip of wandering.
